Vision Quest Woodworking
I have been woodworking for 35 years which started as a project to build a day bed for a young Daughter. Living on a mixed farm in Northern Alberta I had opportunities to work with a wide variety to tools and machinery a have developed hands-on skills and the patience for woodworking.
I have worked as an Electrician in Oil Refineries for 40 years. In 2014, I attended Camosun College Fine Furniture/Joinery 10-month program in Victoria British Columbia with the intention of one day doing Woodworking as a full-time gig, that day as come.
The program at Camosun College started with hand tools and the use of handheld and stationary power tools. All manner of Joinery and assembly techniques where discussed, demonstrated, and performed. Furniture history and design was a large part of the program, which included the use of Computer aided drafting. I use a CAD program called SketchUp to design, produce cut sheets and shop drawings.
My wife and I have lived in Sherwood Park, Alberta for 42 years and have raised two Children here. The present woodworking shop is an oversized two car garage.
If you are looking for a custom piece of furniture or a live edge bowl made from that log cut on your property, or we have specialty wood to accommodate your vision, please look at this website Gallery and give me a call.
Thanks
